Professional Development Initiatives

The initial teacher training and induction process provides you with the essential skills you need to be an effective classroom practioner but learning and development does not stop there.

Keeping knowledge of curriculum subjects up to date, being able to make the most of new technologies or developing the skills required in different leadership positions all require continuing professional development. These are some of the reasons why we conduct various courses throughout the year aimed at assisting you with your induction and professional development, all free of charge.

Courses are conducted by our head and deputy head teachers at host schools where specific course literature, drinks and snacks are provided on the night.

For an outline of the Professional Development Courses we will be providing during the 2010/11 academic year please refer to our Documents and Policies page. Please note that dates and courses are subject to change.

To help you with your professional development needs you can also consult the Teachers' Standards Framework on http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/professionaldevelopment/

If there are any courses you would like to attend from the outline above or if you would like to suggest a course that you will find useful please feel free to contact John Canning at john@Veracityeducation.com
